Zimfest 2012

Zimfest 2012 Logo

The Zimbabwean Music Festival, known as Zimfest, is an annual celebration of Zimbabwean music and culture. The first festival was organized in Seattle in 1991 by a small committee of former students of the late Dr. Dumisani Maraire, the dynamic Zimbabwean musician who first introduced marimba and mbira music to the Pacific Northwest. For over 20 years, the festival has moved around the west and is produced entirely by volunteer staff. Please join us this year in Moscow, Idaho at the University of Idaho as we celebrate another fun filled festival.
